📣 MPL HEAD COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 22 March 2024

The WFC are thrilled to announce the signing of our new MPL Head Coach, Ricky Nolan.

A highly respected figure within the NT Football community, Ricky brings a Level 3 Coaching accreditation and a wealth of experience and success. With an impressive track record of not only inspiring team success but fostering individual growth, he has participated in 14 NTFL Grand Finals
as both a player and coach, with a very successful winning record over the past decade as a senior coach.

Ricky has developed and led highly successful men’s and women’s football programs that motivate, challenge and empower all those involved which have resulted in a total of 6 Premierships as coach:

- 3 Premierships with St Marys MPL

- 3 Premierships with Pint WPL

As well as being involved in 4 Premierships as a player:

- 2 Premierships with St Marys

- 2 Premierships with Pint

A change in coach brings a new dynamic and the acquisition of someone of Ricky’s caliber, who is highly sought after not only in the NTFL but Australia wide, ensures an exciting progression into the next phase of our men’s program.

In the words of our President Rohan Langworthy, "We are thrilled to welcome Ricky Nolan as Head Coach to our club. His experience and dedication will undoubtedly elevate the club to new heights."

Commenting on his appointment, Ricky expressed his ambition to build upon the great foundation laid by former coach Ryan Ayres, aiming to establish an elite football program that nurtures player development, fosters enjoyment, and cultivates a winning ethos.

Ricky’s appointment also marks a return to the red and white having previously led our WPL to a grand final.
